Filing requirements:
- Power of attorney;
- Descriptions, claims, drawings, abstract in duplicate ( may be filed in an international language);
- The Romanian translation of the description, claims, abstract and formal drawings in triplicate can be filed within two months from the application filing date, but no later. Provision not valid for the PCT applications;
- Assignment from the inventor(s) to the applicant(declaration of inventor(s), if the applicant is not the same as the inventor(s),to be filed within six months from the filing date;
- If priority is claimed indication of country, date and file number of basic foreign application(s). Priority document(s): to be filed within three months from the filing date;

Granting:
- Twenty years from the national regular deposit date;

Renewals;
- Information was not found;

Trademarks

Filing requirements:
- Power of attorney;
- Ten labels max. 6x6 cm if the mark is a device;
- Certified copy of the priority document in case priority is to be claimed. If the document is not in English, French or German, translation in any of these languages will be required;
- Details of the mark;

- 10 years from the date of application;

Renewals:
- Within 3 months before expiry;

Designs and Models

Filing requirements:
- An application comprising the personal particulars of the applicant and of the author and the indication of article or articles in which the industrial designs is intended to be incorporated;

- If priority is claimed, the legal document and the necessary fee;
- Power of attorney;
- Assignment, in the case that the applicant in Romania is not the same as the author, notarized;

Granting:
- Five years;

Renewals:
- Twice renewable for successive periods of five years;
